I FORGOT WE HAD A BLOG

Oh my heck, I completely forgot that we had a blog.  Good grief, it's almost been 2 months.  Holy crap!  Man this is embarrassing.

Quite a bit has happened with the 2 crazy ladies, for example tonight, after my 36 years of life, I found out that my mother is not an alto.  As we have all been led to believe, Jac is definitely a SOPRANO!!!  Just ask her to sing her rendition of The Hills Are Alive.......you won't be disappointed!

We have had Halloween, the pet costume contest, 3 grandchildren/nephew & nieces birthday, a sisters birthday, piano recital, swim meets, Thanksgiving, band concert, the farewell of Gracee, the family Christmas party in Midway-PHEW!  It's been busy.  I'm proud to say the Zoey won "Best in Show" on Halloween!  But who really cares?

MJ and Jac (the jolly old elves) are ready for the holidays!  Our tree is trimmed, the stockings are hung and the carrots have all been glued back on the snowmen!  We are excited to share Zoey's first Christmas with her!  She is full of wonderment of the season!

Oh, I almost forgot the best news of all....We have a new garbage disposal!  Just in time for the Christmas rush on the sink!  It is a beauty!

Jacs li-lash seems to be working well and we will be posting some updated pictures soon!  We can't wait to see you all Christmas Eve!
HO! HO! HO!

LI LASH

Well, I think it is time we make the big announcement.  This post will be the first of several that will chronicle a new product that Jac has started using.  Many of you may have already noticed...... the product behind the excitement is LI LASH- a purified eyelash stimulator.  This product has the potential to work a miracle in the life of Jac.  To get you started, we plan on following the progress.  This is BEFORE the treatment was started---

As you can see, there are minimal lashes.  The lashes that are existing are rather short.  We like to look at the upcoming weeks and months as an experiment of sorts.

I don't know about you, but I think this is really exciting.  For Jac, it might be compared to the time she got her nose job.  Something that could really change not only her quality of life, but her outlook on the future.  I have hope that LI LASH isn't the snake oil that some people claim.  Let's keep our fingers crossed!  GO LI LASH!

A Little Humor

I hate to be a blog hog, but something kind of funny happened I thought I would share with all your fascinated viewers out there.  As many of you know, we have a bin in our garage that is reserved for ropes, string, bungee cords, etc.  I noticed after the last visit from the boys, I have been putting away strands of rope left in the garage, straps left in the backyard, and tonight I noticed a ball of twine in the spare bedroom I added to the bin.

With boredom setting in at it's usual hour this evening, I felt a little achey and laying on my bed in a stupor I thought to myself, "I probably have the twine flu."  I crack myself up.

Good night all you blog people.

Big Exaggeration

Well, I think there needs to be a little clarification on the conversation that actually took place regarding Dog Zoey.  Let me preface it by saying I like Zoey.  She is a cute little dog and her behavior is above average, but as I told MJ, "I'm not Terri...I don't LOVE dogs like you guys."  I have always told you kids, when I'm old and gray, (well, let's face it, I'm NEVER going to really be gray) don't feel sorry for me and BUY ME A DOG!!!  I don't need that kind of companionship or the sound of little furry footsteps on my floor.  Just give me my bed, a nice TV and a Hershey bar and I'm set.

Perhaps my comments did include saying that if something were to happen I would look for a really good, close  (as in another daughter's) home for the little gal.  I don't dislike Zoey and I think it's really cute that she is Marne's little buddy, it's just that I don't feel quite as connected to the canine world as some others.  You will not see me purchasing little car seats, shoulder carrier bags or glittered jewelry for the dog.  I give her a treat on occasion and let her out (and back in!)  What more can you ask of  co-owner?  So that's it in a nutshell.  I grew up with every kind of breed of dog you can imagine, and I honestly don't really remember any of them as being my "buddy".  Sorry for disappointing you all.  I love you guys though, and the grandkids are what real love is all about!

INDIFFERENCE

I received some disturbing news this weekend.  It was given to me in such a casual manner that I'm still trying to understand the announcement.  As me and Jac sat casually discussing the news of the day, Jac says, "If something were to happen to you, I don't think I would keep Zoey".  CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?  I said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"  She said she was "indifferent" about Zoe....she doesn't love her or hate her.  Just indifferent.  I am shocked to say the least.  Now I must plan for what is best for Zoey......I wonder how the bank feels about dogs as beneficiaries?  My poor Zoey.  I think the best thing to do is start weighing the options for the best caretaker of my angelic pup.  If you are interested I'd love to consider all applicants.  Of course this is only in the event of Jac being left to care for her.  I'm not giving up on Jac falling in love with her adorable little fluffy face just yet.  There is still time and the better she is trained, really, what's not to love???  Zoey is a rockin dog!  And wait until she is trained to do TRICKS!

THE GRANDKIDS CAME TONIGHT

As you can see, we had the ALL the grandchildren here tonight!  It's always so fun to see how the house has fared as we clean up little treasure that the kids leave for us.  Tonight was especially rewarding to see the talents of these kids.  The best kind of artwork is the kind that's done in Sharpie!  It writes so well on walls, wooden benches, and wallpaper!  The funny thing is the Sharpie was left unopened at the scene of the crime.  Fingerprints have been taken and are being processed.  Preliminary DNA is pointing to a female suspect.

The male parties at the home tonight decided to put their love of science to task as they created ropes on pulleys that came out the 2nd story window which has no screen....out the window, over the roof and onto the driveway to take care of the arduous task of lifting their extremely heavy slumber bags up into the guest bedroom.  I'm especially glad this was all being done as I had a design client arrive to discuss the creation of a new logo for their company.  I am sure they were so impressed by the ingenuity of my nephews.  Not to mention the fact they my clients had to step over the leaf blower and bikes and scooters as they came up the front steps.  Ah, they're boys and I love them!  They make me proud!

It's always fun to watch all the grandchildren together.  But I have to be honest about tonight.  I had no part in the actual tending....Jac did that all by herself.  I had bigger fish to fry!  Puppy School!

Now I know I talked in the last post about a new topic we will be discussing.....This post is not it.  Due to events of tonight, the post has pre-empted the long awaited post that will be coming soon.  Keep checking back for the new and upcoming series!

RAT BUTT

Jac and I were discussing what we could blog about tonight, knowing that it's been a while, we felt we needed to post something.  The only crazy or exciting thing we could think of was the rat butt.  Not to be confused with the Marlboro butt.  This week during puppy training a rat butt appeared in the middle of our class on the back lawn.  That's it.  That's the story!  It wasn't rattlesnake eggs that were buzzing, or a pigeon caught in the chimney with a bleeding wounded leg.  No a chewed up rat butt.  The tail was really fat and hairy.  It was gross.

Hmmm, I guess I could mention the big holiday that is coming up!  Ya, you all know what I am talking about!  That's right...It's Columbus Day!  Happy Columbus day to everyone.  As we all know because of this national holiday we won't be able to go to the bank or post office.  It's a BIG holiday!  Why don't we celebrate Sacajawea day?  Weren't the Indians here first?  (oh, excuse me, I meant Native Americans.)

I think we will keep the blog public for now.  Apparently people like to read about the exciting adventures of 2 crazy ladies.  Sorry this post is so boring, but I have a BIG idea for the next one that should cause a lot of excitement.  STAY TUNED!

Oh Crap!

I'm so sorry I used MJ's real name.  I jut can't type and remember the codes at the same time.  Sorry MJ...not Marne'...forget I ever said that name Marne'.

Love,
OCL/Mom

New Blog Name

I tend to agree with Marne' about things being a bit boring and unfunny around here, but after the experience Marne' encountered Sunday with the "real" crazy lady who lives at this address, it might do well for the other two siblings to be grateful that their mother invested in the Long Term Disability program as she may be committed earlier than we all thought.  It should come as no surprise that Mom likes to take her daily nap, with Sunday being the exceptional nap day, so after conference I took my little dose of Xanax so I could take a "really exceptional" snooze.  I woke up at 6:15 which is the exact time my alarm goes off on my work mornings.  It was one of those moments where absolute panic hit me because I did not know if it was morning or night?!  Instead of looking outside to see if it was dark or light I went running downstairs in my little garment bottoms and t-shirt and frantically yelled "Marne'!  Is it morning or night?" To which she quizically responded, "Night...."  I was so relieved!  But I think Marne' saw the vision of her unravelling mother happening right before her very eyes and ears.   I told her not to tell you guys about it because then everyone would no for sure I was going crazy and, bless her heart, she kept it our little secret.  But it's time you knew that there are moments of bizarre behavior at our house, and I am going to be on the lookout for a good story about that other lady that lives here so we can all have a big hearty laugh like you are all doing right now.  So in the meantime, perhaps we could call the blog One Crazy Lady and Her Caretaker.  Love you all.

BACK TO NORMAL

PHEW!  Everybody is back home in their own beds, (except Easton & Noah).....poor kids.  I guess the title "Back to normal" doesn't apply to the Highland folks.  Their lives just got turned upside down.  Jac actually mentioned that she needs to go down to help out each week and give Lei a break!  I'm sure Lei just smiled as she read that!?!?

So on a more serious note, I think we might need to change the name of our blog.  2 reasons for this actually.  The first being that only one of us is crazy (you can guess which one!)-second, NO, it's not that we aren't ladies.....the second is that nothing funny every happens here anymore.  Since the rattlesnake and bird incident, not much funny happens.  Unless of course you consider the fact that as I was putting away my folded clothes (folded by Jac-what a sweetie!) I picked up a pile of t-shirts and a cream colored girdle fell onto the floor.  OH MY!  Not only would I NEVER wear a girdle, but it certainly would NOT be cream colored!  Maybe it was just a subtle hint from Jac that I try the #$?!@# girdle.  I'm just not a girdle kind of girl.

See what I mean?  That's a funny moment in our house!  Sad......but true.  Maybe when things slow down with work I will be able to liven things up around here.  But don't count on it as the most depressing season of the year is upon us.  It starts with a "W" and ends with an "R".  I prefer not to actually say (or spell) it.

On that note, welcome back world travelers.  Take care of the little guys down Highland way and especially the littlest guy!  See you soon!

Jac is on board

Okay, I've tried to post two other times with amazingly funny stories, and when I tried to publish them on the blog, POOF, they disappeared, so this is the last chance.  We all just got back from puppy training which was what I would call a dog circus, but the dogs seem to have fun and they are sitting and staying to beat the band, so I guess they are all on their way to being celestial dogs.

Just want to also confirm my extreme dislike, (I've been trying not to say hate so much) that I have for Dr. Young and Donnie Osmond.  They are both annoying, narcissistic control freaks although Donny may have a mean fox trot, Dr. Young did his own little quick-step with us trying to get $2500 out of our little savings.  Oh, and maybe Donny shouldn't dye his hair the same day as his performance as I noticed a little residue on his forehead.

We will getting our two little guests HEB and the devil dog, oh I mean Wesley, tomorrow morning bright and early at 7:30.  So I think once I let DD outside to spend the day, and put in a fun Elmo video for that toddler who's coming, we can just chill on my bed all day till MJB or whatever her code is comes home with fun ideas for everyone.

Have fun WB and Arby, I mean RB.  (I have a hard time with all this espionage coding we do here.) and don't forgot the seasick pills.  Tell the boys the crazy ladies love 'em and we'll all keep in touch with this fun blog idea.

Jac/Mom  oopps...That's my real name.

TOE-TALLY AWESOME!!

There has been more than one request for pictures.  So I opened my photographs and decided I would randomly post some interesting pictures from my vast library.
I decided to start from the bottom up.  So what better place to start than with toes?  Can you tell which toes belong to which girl?
I've never been a big fan of toes.  I mean really what use do they have.  Why do they have to move? Coudn't we just have a solid bar at the end of our feet for balance?  Do they have to be individual little toes?  To me it just seems like more places to collect toejam and lint and more areas for sweat and germs to become stinky!  Maybe without toes we wouldn't have such stinky feet......just a thought.  Especially that little pinky toe---can you honestly tell that thing has a purpose?  Oh gosh, now I feel bad, maybe they really are important.  I'm sure they do serve an important purpose....I'm just not sure what it is.  I know Lei uses hers to pick up various items off the ground when she's just not in the mood to bend over.  Jac and WB just use theirs to drain their bank account by going to get pedicures way too often.  My toes on the other hand are always perfectly pedicured while sitting on the edge of my bed trying to balance the Wet n' Wild polish on my knee.  It's only spilled on the carpet a couple of times!

Jac says she likes toes.  She's always liked toes, she likes getting her toes done, she likes foot massages, but she doesn't like to feel other peoples toes.  It's really not so much the toes, it's the toenails.

Speaking of feet, I highly recommend the Ped Egg.  If you don't know what it is, google it!  It's awesome, but a little embarrassing to buy at the store.  Don't ever let your sister borrow your Ped Egg......you just never know when they might have a foot fungus!  I only speak from experience!

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY

Jac and MJ were just discussing tonight how good Zoey has been.  No accidents for weeks and just a good dog all around.  Zoey was invited to play with her cousin Cooper and I was even bragging to Terri what a great dog she is.  No accidents for weeks!  You should never make such bold statements without some wood to knock on- ( we were sitting at her wrought iron patio table).   Needless to say as I sat furiously working at my desk a smell wafted through the room that was unmistakable....POO!  Yes it was true-funny how it happens that way.  If I had never mentioned it, I'm sure we'd be poo-free tonight.  Oh well, I guess we live and learn.  I will no longer be discussing the length of accident free time that Zoey has accrued.  You will just have to guess (since I know you care so much).

This was just the topping on the cake of a wonderful visit with the fabulous Dr. Young.  If Jac hasn't already told you how the meeting went, DON'T ASK!

One more important thing to note:  Don't watch Dancing with the Stars with Jac after Dr. Young has just dropped by and Donny Osmond is the next dancer.  Not only does Jac have a strong dislike for Donny Osmond (or any member of the LDS Osmond Family for that matter).....her dislike seems to be intensified by the visit from Dr. Young.  I think we are safe to say that Jac will not be texting her vote for Donny!  I've got to be honest- that kind of attitude from her makes me like him even more!!!   GO DONNY!

ANOTHER SUNDAY

Well, today is Sunday....this is one of our most stressful days.  To go to sacrament in our new ward where we are so well loved, or sleep in???  Today the choice was easy-skip our sacrament meeting and go to Whit and Russ' ward!  I think we knew more people there than at our own ward.  SAD!

Let's see, next week is General Conference and the following week is Stake Conference.  No stress or problems for the next 2 weeks.  The decision is made for us......Sleep In!

Whether you sleep in or not, you ALWAYS need a Sunday nap!  Let's just hope Dr. Young doesn't call!

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING...

This is the beginning of something big.  I just have a feeling it's going to be good.  When I say good, I mean funny.  You just wait. Between the two of us, this just has to be entertaining!!
ENJOY!
